Principal's Message

Dear Parents,

Welcome to a bright, new school year! The first few days of school have confirmed my beliefs that the John Jacobs School Community works together to ensure the success and safety of every student!  Some precautions we take for the safety of your child:

Weather: The first few weeks of the school year bring many hot days and our staff follow the District guidelines when we have “orange” days by limiting time outside in the heat and encouraging students to hydrate as much as possible.

Visitors on Campus: Although you may want to visit with your child on our campus before school and during lunch, you should know that we ask every visitor to sign in the office and get a visitor’s badge. We will ask any adult, who is not an employee, to report to the office and wear a badge while on school grounds. Although it may seem like an inconvenience, this practice ensures the safety of all students.

Drills: We practice fire drills and lockdowns during the first few weeks of school and will continue to do so on an ongoing basis so that students know how to respond in an emergency.

Arrival/Dismissal: Teachers and staff members are located at exit/entry points around the school to monitor student safety.

Thank you for helping us provide a safe school environment for all of our little jaguar students!

Sincerely,

Pamela Wright
